Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1987 Ford F-150 recalls can be found in this database. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: This 1987 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 4x4 is coming off of long-term ownership. So what you're looking at is the kind of well-respected vintage style that also happens to have a fuel-injected V8 under the hood. This does the idea of a modern classic right. After all, the two-tone red and white is the kind of thing we love on a 1950s-style truck, and so it still looks attractive on something more modern and muscular. As a premium Lariat, Ford made sure to cleanly divide these two colors using nice trim and even a pinstripe around the cab. This is the factory application, and it wears its originality with pride. So while it's not perfect, it does retain a nice gloss, looks complete, and has a well-defended distinction that's ready to tell stories. And speaking of stories, this has spent most of its life under the same owner, and so that's how you get a respected original truck with straight sheetmetal over three decades later. But just because this one has matured into a cool personality doesn't mean it has stopped being as handy as a best friend. You have dual fuel tanks, wide trailing mirrors, a hitch on the rear step bumper, and the bed has a ready-to-work appearance. There's plenty more red inside. Just like the exterior, this has a highly original and well-respected appearance. The interior advantage of a premium Lariat starts with a velour seat that has nice bolstering for individual-style comfort, and when you don't need to sit three across, there's even a fold-down cup holder armrest. There are plenty of features like power locks, cruise control, a tilt steering column, and the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. There are side vent windows and the optional sliding rear glass, so it's easy to get the kind of breezes through the cab that only a classic truck can provide. And if that's not enough this also has provisions for factory air conditioning (will need servicing to blow cold again.) Under the hood is Ford's famous 5.0-liter V8. This is from the fuel-injections years, and so you have the legendary stout construction and the best in trustworthy power delivery. And since this has spent most of its time under the same owner, it's hard to believe this is anything but the original powerplant. A well-respected life also means the right investments along the way. You see it here in the fundamentals like the newer hoses, wires, plugs, and even some new bushings. The V8 fires up readily, and it produces a nice sound out of the header-fed dual exhaust. This makes plenty of power, and so it's great to have the two-speed 4x4 transfer case for true go-anywhere ability. But you don't need to go off road to enjoy this F-150, because it has easy everyday driving features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and new Firestone tires. This F-150 sits at the intersection of daily usability and vintage appeal. It's a true modern classic 4x4, and it's waiting for you. Call today!!!
