Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1965 Pontiac GTO recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1965 Pontiac GTO problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 1965 Pontiac GTO - 421ci Tri Power V8 Bored Out To 428ci - 4 Speed Manual Transmission - Fontaine Blue Paint - 54k Miles - Documentation includes PHS Docs (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Awesome GTO that has been extremely well cared for with a very careful restoration completed approximately 20 years ago. Within the documentation that we have are photos of the various parts of the restoration process which are labeled with dates, PHS Documentation, paint code lists, and an original owner's manual. A 428ci V8 replaces the original 389 that the car left the factory with, but retains the 4 speed manual transmission. Fontaine Blue paint and Parchment interior trim look the part on this classic GTO. GM's advertising boasted that "the only way to tell a real tiger from a pussycat was to drive one" - a GTO that is. The factory correct Fontaine Blue (code D) looks great on the body lines of this classic Pontiac. The body is in great condition from tip to tail. Body panels all line up as they should, chrome and trim is in great condition, and the lights and corresponding bezels are in great condition. Factory correct Parchment seats (code 218) provide a nice contrast to the Fontaine Blue exterior. Highlights of the interior are three spoke steering wheel, push button radio, wood veneer dashboard, factory tach, and black carpeting. During the restoration process a 421ci V8 that was bored to a 428ci was installed under the hood. A 4-speed manual transmission handles gear selection and 3 Rochester carbs handle fuel air mixture. The engine bay is highly detailed and very clean. Just as the car left the factory, Redline tires are wrapped around the 14" wheels. The car has drum brakes on all four corners as well as power steering. The underside of the car is nicely detailed and clean. On the road, this car runs like a pent up caged animal that has been freed. Make room in your garage for this classic, clean, and documented Pontiac. It's truly a jaw dropping classic muscle car to consider for your collection. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors.
