This iconic classic comes in a brown paint job complemented by a spotless matching interior and white convertible top. The convertible top is in excellent condition and functions as it should. Other recent maintenance completed includes new rocker arms, timing gear and chain, water pump, fuel pump, starter, alternator and much more. Additionally, a complete rebuild was completed on the suspension and braking systems within the past 4 years. This excellent example comes to us from an elite private collection. As such the vehicle was always properly stored and well maintained. So, if you've been in the market for an excellent classic cruiser, this Skylark is the vehicle for you. Please call or email us today for more information. The Skylark is a passenger car produced by Buick. The model was made in six production runs, during 46 years, over which the car's design varied dramatically due to changing technology, tastes and new standards implemented over the years. For the 1971 model year, the base Skylark was available only with the inline-6, now only putting out 145 hp due to emission control devices, but in a two-door hardtop coupe body-style (in addition to the previous two- and four-door sedans). The Skylark 350 had a V8 engine that put out only 230 hp. It was now available as a two-door sedan in addition to the previous two-door hardtop coupe and four-door sedan. Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1971 Buick SKYLARK recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1971 Buick SKYLARK problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.
