Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 2011 Porsche 911 recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: 2011 Porsche Speedster LUXE Automotive Sales Contact Max or Jed at 801.960.3947 Porsche Speedsters have been identified as sporting thoroughbreds stripped to their essence by removing some creature comforts, which allows the style and performance to shine. This one happened to be from Jerry Seinfelds collection and was owned by him from new. The underlying architecture of the 997 Speedster features a wide body, two-wheel drive, and Porsches Powerkit-equipped 3.8L flat-six shooting out 408hp. The Speedster came standard with nearly every option available in the 997 range, such as carbon-ceramic brakes, PASM suspension, and the Sport Chrono package. This already loaded Speedster was equipped with items exclusive to the Speedster, such as a 60mm lower windscreen, Fuchs-style wheels, black leather seats with a blue checkered pattern, and a unique aero kit with black stone guards on the rear quarters. This 997 Speedster, which Jerry purchased from the Porsche dealer Manhattan Motorcars Inc. in New York City, is number 009 of 356 examples produced and one of just 100 imported by the US market. It was specified with Porsche Exclusive Customization Packages DZM & DZP and is finished in Pure Blue, a color developed specifically for the Speedster and the only shade available on the model other than white. Porsche made this car just for me with a lot of cool bare carbon fiber, which I never get tired of, Mr. Seinfeld says. This model was built to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Exclusive Department, and everything is lower than a regular 997 Cabriolet.
